  • As a Tax Manager – Direct Taxes, you will play a leading role in managing complex direct tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to ensure compliance while driving global tax efficiency. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and business partners to deliver value across corporate tax, compliance, and tax planning initiatives.
  • Experience: Proven experience in international direct taxation, preferably in a consultancy or multinational corporate environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of global corporate tax rules, cross-border compliance, tax treaties, and EU Directives.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Communication: Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder communication skills across regions and functions.
  • Industry Experience: Startup or fintech experience is a plus.
  • Remote Work: Prior remote work experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Post-Graduate or Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.

Requirements

  • Direct Tax Compliance: Oversee global direct tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other direct tax filings across all company entities.
  • Collaboration with Advisors: Partner with external tax advisors to support filings, documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Sustainable Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with local tax authorities, mitigating risk and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and address potential tax risks, proposing actionable solutions.
  • Tax Audits & Inspections: Assist in managing audits and inspections, liaising with tax authorities to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Tax Strategy & Planning: Provide strategic tax guidance on cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, and tax-efficient planning aligned with business objectives.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Keep up-to-date with changes in global tax laws and proactively adapt processes and strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, supporting their development and day-to-day execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting.

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.

Therefore, all compensation changes associated with an internal move will be reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case by case basis.

    The annual salary range for this full-time position is
    €40.300€72.650 EUR
