Requirements

  • Design, build, and maintain APls, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Go
  • Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it
  • Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

This position requires the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 1 year of Software Engineering experience.
  • 1 year of experience working with Python, Java, Go programming languages.
  • 1 year of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. S3, EC2, EBS etc.).
  • 1 year of experience implementing industry standard design patterns.
  • 1 year of software engineering experience in building distributed backend applications at scale.
  • 1 year of software engineering experience in building low latency systems.

Salary

$156,800

  • $235,200/yr. 

40 hrs/week

50% Telecommuting Permitted.
